Set the goal
Firstly, you should give an answer to yourself, for what reason do you want to study a foreign language. For example, you need to know English to obtain a job in the United Kingdom, or Spanish to go on trip to Spain. Precise and clear goals will help you learning your lessons with the necessary vocabulary suited to your objectives.
Schedule your day
Then, you may create your personal schedule and time restrictions. For example, learning one hundred new words each week or achieving the B1 level in two months. If you choose the most convenient methods of learning according to your physical capacities, it can make the process of studying more effective. For example, if you are ‘an early bird’, it will be better to start a new lesson in the morning. In this case, you will be able to memorise the new information more easily. If you work till very late in the evening, it will be more advantageous to study at home than spending time going to the teacher and taking language courses.
Study regulary and revise what you have learned already
Regular and frequent lessons will help you to progress quickly in the study of a foreign language. It may be a schedule of 4 hours per day: 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. Besides, you should revise lessons you have already learnt. For an efficient learning of vocabulary, you may memorise entire word-combinations or small phrases.
