Giverny. Impressionism. Monet.

I had a chance to have a very short holiday in Normandie just before the second lockdown. I visited this region a lot of times but only this October, we decided to see some museums near the place we stayed. At the first point of view, it’s a small town somewhere between Paris and so famous Deaville, but it worth seeing! I regret that I didn’t visit Giverny before.

Giverny is famous for Claude Monet's house with its beautiful garden and a museum of Impressionism. It was Wednesday, but Monet’s house was plenty of tourists! It was difficult to take a picture of a room without other people inside. This French artist passed 43 years in Giverny. He planted a small garden and a part of the road to his house - Clos Normand. Ten years after Monet created a beautiful big garden in front of his house where a small river Ru flows. It’s better to see this place once that to read about it. At the end of October, the garden was full of different flowers and colours were awesome! It’s a place where you feel yourself as you are inside of an impressionist natural picture. Giverny is a must-see destination. For example, when you leave Ile-de-France, for a trip to Etretat or Deauville.
